Safety & Security

Safety and security are very important to us. We perform many drills to prepare for emergencies should they happen. Fire drills are practiced monthly, while tornado drills are practiced April through September. We also practice “lock out” (threat in the vicinity) and “lock down” (immediate threat in the building) drills in the months of October and February.

 

For added security, we have camera surveillance that monitors the area both outside and inside of the preschool building, including the classrooms and parking lot.  The preschool doors are locked during the preschool day and parents/visitors are approved to enter through our intercom/camera system outside of the building door, and then again inside of the preschool area once they enter the building.
